It is getting near the one year anniversary since the completion of the Aquarius Ranch earth-dome in Hinkley, California! We all had such a magnificent time with friends, animals, ET's and the majestic Mojave desert. The dome is a work of art and is a perfect habitat for the many travelers that pass by. My most recent effort was direct towards the development of another Revit template and the plethora of families, annotations, tags, detail components and titleblocks that are needed for a complete functioning package. However, this round I was working with a fire alarm/fire protection engineering firm and was graciously led to new concepts and insights on potentials in file management strategies and creating an even more calculative Revit family. Furthermore, I learned first hand on their struggles with BIM and many best practices that architectural firms should be mindful of before sending their link off to consultants.

*TREES AND THEIR ENERGY TRANSACTIONS*

+ The water in the air is that which is evaporated from the surface of the sea or lake. It contains a few salt particles but is "clean". A small proportion may fall as rain (15-20%), but most of this water is CONDENSED out of clear night air or fogs by the cool surfaces of leaves (80-85%). Of this condensate, 15% evaporates by day and 50% is transpired. The rest enter the groundwater. Thus, trees are responsible for more water in streams than the rainfall alone provides.
++ Of the rain that falls, 25% again re-evaporates from crown leaves, and 50% is transpired. This moisture is added to the clouds, which are now at least 50% "tree water". These clouds travel on inland to rain again. Thus trees may double or multiply rainfall itself by this process, which can be repeated many times over extensive forested plains or foothills.

W W O O F_ing AROUND... ""taking a break 2 investigate organic farming!

Hello friends! I am sure many of you are aware that this blog has been a bit static lately, well at least for the last few months. The reason being... I am on a bit of a hiatus running around North America experiencing life away from the computer and trying to connect with this physical life while it exists and while I am young, right!

Initially, I set off to foreign lands and foreign cultures, observing close to perfect systems both natural and man-made. Staying in alignment with uncertainty seemed to unfold the kindness within people, such compassion for good-will exists everywhere and it comes in the most unexpected moments. In following, this journey was spent in the middle-of-nowhere-type places, away from civilization, in deep pockets of untouched land; places where one can really use all of the six senses. Indeed there were periods of much anxiety, the wildness and power of nature can really implant fear into one's body and mind, especially in isolation. Yet, the truth in "there's nothing to fear but fear itself" needed quick realization to emerge the beauty all around.

Now, I am WWOOFing in the high desert of California. To live a simple life requires a great amount of effort. The farmer exists within all of us, it is the connection to the earth that draws us to it. It is our mother, containing all of our ancestors, and is a perfect system.

Yet, while the journey has just begun the WWOOFing is coming to its end and preparation is underway for many great Revit Families to become available to the global design community. And, of course the content will be free!

SO... please keep updated with this blog, as access to the internet is now available. More is to come!!!...

So__ 1 thought twas quietly living among the canopy of mine_forest,
protected from beasts lurking below.
Staying within the roof allowed an unique perspective; blind to sub-ravaging_sub-consumption.
Yes.preferred tunnel_visioning painted beautiful images, boosted morale, and enhanced achievement....

...Yet_without warning or invitation, beasts latched on to mine_sight with grappling hooks, infiltrating mine_environment.
They brought temptations, gifts, and empty promises_all smiling to flex worn fangs.

Now.. they are in the canopy, tossing much butter_trying to pierce mine_vision.
*They assume I am mutable, but I am not smiling.
*They cannot see the fangs of mine_own and that they may be razor sharp.

TURN YOUR SINK INTO A "TOXIC ENERGY DRAWING CONTAINER" >>

what you'll need:
SINK STOPPER
GROUNDED WATER
PLYWOOD (3/8"THICK+)
DRILL + FORSTNER BIT (1 1/8")
SILICONE SEALANT
(4) 3' LONG, 1" DIA. STEEL TUBES

Insert the stopper to seal the deal
Add clean grounded water into the bowl(s) until reaching the half-way point
Cut your wood to fit the inside dimension of the sink edges
Drill four 1 1/8" diameter holes into the plywood, allowing at least 3" of space between the holes
Cap the bowl(s) with fabricated plywood
Insert the 3' long steel tubes into the holes, so that their ends penetrate the surface of the water.
Apply silicone to seal any gaps.

Congratulations, you are now finished and have taken the first step to clean the toxic air out of your interior environment!
