FREE FAMILIES :: TABLE LEGS + TABLE, BERNHARDT ITINERARY

I T I N E R A R Y _ LEGS + TABLE >> by: Bernhardt

""it helps to have a nice set of legs to get you where you want to go.

Utilize the first two Families as "Nesters" - remember to account for the top thickness (if interested in an 'Overall Height' parameter) when attaching the 'top of the legs' to the underside of your surface. We accounted for the nesting and you may attach using the instance parameters or by dragging and locking to your reference plane.

The third Family is an example of 'leg' application.

Enjoy the time with the Families and Happy Monday!

It is getting near the one year anniversary since the completion of the Aquarius Ranch earth-dome in Hinkley, California! We all had such a magnificent time with friends, animals, ET's and the majestic Mojave desert. The dome is a work of art and is a perfect habitat for the many travelers that pass by. I encourage everyone to visit there, put in some time, and take a trip to a peaceful reality!

TIPS FOR REVIT LINKS

13.12.10

My most recent effort was direct towards the development of another Revit template and the plethora of families, annotations, tags, detail components and titleblocks that are needed for a complete functioning package. However, this round I was working with a fire alarm/fire protection engineering firm and was graciously led to new concepts and insights on potentials in file management strategies and creating an even more calculative Revit family. Furthermore, I learned first hand on their struggles with BIM and many best practices that architectural firms should be mindful of before sending their link off to consultants.

Set up View Templates for consistency.
Don't over complicate things with Revit worksets.
Be accurate in joining walls.
Make tags more compact graphically.
Always use transparent text fields.
Are those grid-lines and levels suppose to be extending 1,000' past the building?

WIRE TREE

W I R E TREE ""parametric site sculpture!

*TREES AND THEIR ENERGY TRANSACTIONS*
+ The water in the air is that which is evaporated from the surface of the sea or lake. It contains a few salt particles but is "clean". A small proportion may fall as rain (15-20%), but most of this water is CONDENSED out of clear night air or fogs by the cool surfaces of leaves (80-85%). Of this condensate, 15% evaporates by day and 50% is transpired. The rest enter the groundwater. Thus, trees are responsible for more water in streams than the rainfall alone provides.
++ Of the rain that falls, 25% again re-evaporates from crown leaves, and 50% is transpired. This moisture is added to the clouds, which are now at least 50% "tree water". These clouds travel on inland to rain again. Thus trees may double or multiply rainfall itself by this process, which can be repeated many times over extensive forested plains or foothills.
